Extension for HSMP Visa holders in the UK
If you are currently in the UK with HSMP Visa status and you need an extension then there are two classifications here.
- The extension will be considered under the Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Visa criteria (Basically requalifying) if your initial HSMP approval letter was issued after November 2006.
- The extension will be done as per the previous HSMP extension rules if your initial HSMP approval letter was issued before November 2006.
If your initial HSMP was approved after 5th December 2006 then you will not need to evidence your English Language ability when it comes to extension.
