Covid 19 - Home Office Application processing procedure
Home Office Application fees from April 2020
The Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Visa replaces the previous Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) and allows the successful applicant to work in the UK for an initial period of 2 years without needing a job offer.
Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Visa gives an immigrant a flexibility to change their employer as and when they wish unlike the Work Permit wherin employee gets tied up with an employer for a specific period of time.
To apply under new points-based system and be accepted into Tier 1 (General) - highly skilled worker, you must pass a points-based assessment.
All time spent in the UK under Tier 1 General Highly Skilled Visa status counts towards Permanent Residence. After the initial 2 year period you would be expected to apply for a 3 year extension, after which you will be able to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).
If you are currently in the UK with HSMP Visa status and you need an extension then there are two classifications here.
If your initial HSMP was approved after 5th December 2006 then you will not need to evidence your English Language ability when it comes to extension.
We could represent Candidate's applications to the Home Office from all over the United Kingdom (Main cities are listed here) and provide Immigration Advice and professional Documentation service for candidates from abroad.
